Music & Improvisation Practice
Continuing my journey as a musician through accordion and piano performances at folk festivals and open mic events in Newcastle. I also facilitate music improvisation workshops for psychotherapists, counsellors, and mental health practitioners, exploring creativity, spontaneity, and connection through sound.
Multidisciplinary Art Practice
Continuing to create across visual art, writing, and storytelling, including children's mental health resources, illustration, and projects exploring emotions, identity, memory, and belonging.
Therapy
I am a registered Art Psychotherapist (HCPC and BAAT Full Register) and EMDR therapist based in Newcastle, Northeast England. I currently work across different healthcare and community settings, providing trauma-informed art therapy services for children, young people, and adults.
Alongside my clinical work, I run my private practices, Masterpiece Within and Twin Voices Therapy, where I bring together art, psychotherapy, and creativity to support emotional wellbeing.
I believe creativity can offer a powerful language for exploring our inner worlds — helping us process emotions, make sense of experiences, and reconnect with ourselves.
Language
I am the founder of Twin Voices Chinese, where I teach Cantonese and Mandarin through creative, engaging, trauma-informed, and culturally meaningful approaches.
Having lived between cultures myself, I am passionate about creating spaces where language becomes more than communication. It becomes a way to explore identity, heritage, belonging, and connection.
Alongside language teaching, I also run a Cantonese peer supervision group for mental health practitioners, creating a space to discuss clinical work, cultural nuances, and the challenges of practising across languages and cultures.
Art
I am a multidisciplinary artist, children's book author, and visual storyteller. My creative practice spans illustration, writing, and contemporary visual art, exploring themes of identity, belonging, emotions, memory, migration, and human connection.
